Class Teacher – Maternity Cover
fixed term (Initially for Summer Term 2020)
Start: 20th April 2020
Court Lane Infant School is at the heart of a strong community, located in the north of Portsmouth; a dynamic and vibrant waterfront city with world-class visitor attractions.
We work in close collaboration with Court Lane Junior School. We share the same site, a Head Teacher of Court Lane Infant and Junior schools and believe in “One Community, two schools, and achievement for all."
Our values are to Believe, Inspire and Achieve and our dedicated team of staff and governors strive to create a stimulating, safe and positive learning culture for the children. With a determination to make a positive difference to the learning and development of our children, you will have the drive and dedication to challenge and inspire all pupils to excel.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and flexible teacher to cover maternity leave in a Year 2 class, initially until the end of the Summer term 2020; someone with drive, a passion to make a difference and who makes learning irresistible. As a school, we are committed to providing children with a safe, stimulating and positive learning culture.
You will have a secure knowledge of the Primary national curriculum including assessment arrangements. Able to inspire, challenge and motivate pupils to excel, providing them with the support and encouragement needed as they establish a sense of their own self, gaining in confidence and acquiring learning to learn skills. You will have high expectations for pupils’ achievement and the skills to differentiate teaching and learning for pupils of all abilities and needs.
Visits to the school are welcomed and strongly encouraged, and for an informal discussion to learn more about this post and our school, please ring the school office initially on tel: 023 9237 8890.
Please email your completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org or post direct to the school by the closing date and time stated.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
