As a school, we are committed to providing children with a safe, stimulating and positive learning culture. We live by our school values of ‘Believe, Inspire, Achieve’. We are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher from September 2024; someone with drive, a passion to make a difference and a love of learning. We aim for every child to feel successful, included and welcomed by taking a proactive approach to their care. You will be leading the culture of Inclusion and Wellbeing, as well as Safeguarding with responsibility as the Designated Lead. This is a critical role in the school, sitting at the heart of our work. Establishing trusting relationships which enable others to flourish is integral to the role. You will be liaising with a range of partners, working with individual children and families as well as leading the development of colleagues across the school.

You will have a secure knowledge of supporting pupils’ social, emotional and mental health needs as well as high expectations for their academic achievement and personal development. As Assistant Headteacher, you will have a track record of securing excellent outcomes for children and adapting provision to close gaps in learning. You are able to inspire, challenge and motivate both colleagues and pupils to excel, providing them with the support and encouragement needed for them to gain confidence and independence. You are able to adapt teaching and learning approaches to provide an inclusive learning environment for all pupils, supporting others to do the same.

As a professional and dedicated staff team we collaborate to secure high quality provision for children, working together to share expertise. You will benefit from being able to work as part of the leadership team, consisting of other experienced year leaders, SEND leader, Deputy and Head Teacher along with our School Business Manager. You will have the additional support of a Pastoral Team in your collaborative work with colleagues, parents and the wider community for success and the continued safeguarding of pupils. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will collaborate strategically and operationally to drive school improvement. If you are interested in studying for the National Award for SENCO, we are able to offer support and you will be able to partner with our existing SEND leader. You will be focusing your work with pupils who have complex needs and vulnerable. They may be Looked After, open to Children’s Services or require other personalised support in order to be successful in school and care for their wellbeing.
