Kingsham Primary School pupils in Early Years and KS1 participated enthusiastically in the Race for Life for Cancer Research, completing three laps of the field before a tremendous sprint around the playground to cross the finish line. Medals were presented to all runners and the PTA kindly provided lollies to cool off the contestants. Thank you to all the adults for their loud cheers of support and their generous donations.
Assistant headteacher Victoria Leslie said: “It was a great day. Wales Class have been learning about health and fitness, and it was their idea to organise the run. The children have been practising by jogging every day for five weeks, and we were delighted that even the youngest members of the school from England and Ireland classes completed the run.
A tremendous £467.54 was raised for the charity.
Well done to all those who took part.
