Professor Clive Behagg, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chichester, visited The Flying Bull Academy on Monday 19 May to meet staff and children and take a tour of the school as it nears completion of a £3.1m extension and refurbishment project.
Headteacher Mr Deamonn Hewett-Dale and his deputy heads, Samantha Cantini and Izzy Lewis, welcomed Professor Behagg to the Academy, which is the latest school to join the University of Chichester Academy Trust (CAT).
During the afternoon Professor Behagg toured the new facilities and visited classrooms to chat with staff and children. Professor Behagg said, ‘I am very impressed by the way the individual needs of each child are provided for at The Flying Bull Academy. It’s a school with a nurturing culture and I recognise that as a strong reflection of our ethos at the University of Chichester.’
