Apprentice Teaching Assistant including lunchtime supervision

Term time only (38 weeks per annum)

£6.40 per hour

35 hrs per week – Monday - ~Friday 8.20am – 3.50pm (with a half-hour lunch break)

Start Date: November 2024

Apprenticeship Details – 18 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3

Teaching Assistant Qualification.  (All learning is delivered online/remote)

Training Provider: LMP Education (rated as the best UK training provider)

We are looking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant who is able to work with individuals and groups, has a passion for every child’s learning and believes in enabling an inclusive environment for the benefit of all children.  Joining our friendly and supportive team, we need flexible, reliable and enthusiastic colleagues to support all children.

You will work as part of a team to provide personal and learning support to individuals or groups of pupils that enables them to achieve. You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working within the Early Years Foundation stage and/or Key Stage 1.

You will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunch period to ensure that pupil behaviour whilst they are eating and playing should be in line with the standards expected of the school, and that pupils are ready to return to class on time. You will be expected to engage with pupils on the playground and lead activities or games in which they can actively engage and promote positive behaviour.

With a flexible, reliable and enthusiastic approach, you will be committed to developing effective working relationships with children, parents/carers, staff and other professionals, to enable the very best support for pupils’ learning and personal development, whilst promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.
