Located in East Hampshire, the town of Whitehill and Bordon is going through an exciting period of regeneration with education at the heart of the community. At Bordon Junior School, we believe every child has the right to the best education and deserves to be happy and successful in school.

  • We foster children’s growing independence and aspirations by giving them opportunities to plan and execute their own work and we encourage children to support and learn from each other
  • We respect every person as unique and treat everyone with dignity
  • We always seek to improve and work together to achieve more, especially valuing our partnership with parents
  • We encourage high standards and know every child can be successful

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as a cover supervisor.  You will be a confident classroom practitioner, an enthusiastic team player with high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour. You will be committed to improving standards and ensuring all learners achieve their very best and have the skills to create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.  You will have the skills to deliver great lessons from the planning provided and be able to follow policies including those relating to teaching & learning, marking & feedback and safeguarding.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate with a wide range of people, including children, their parent/carers and colleagues. You will have a positive attitude, be resilient and hard working with the ability to work on your own initiative while understanding the need to work as part of a cohesive team to secure the best possible learning and teaching for all.

Educated to GCSE C or equivalent and with a high standard of literacy and numeracy, you will have a good working knowledge of the primary national curriculum; ideally having experience of effective teaching to pre-determined plans and have developed skills to motivate and stimulate learning whilst ensuring appropriate pupil behaviour.

The School is part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust. Each academy has a unique identity, but a shared belief of creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued and proud to be part of the Trust.  We value and develop our staff, and can provide you with the training you require and wider opportunities for growth.  You will be eligible to join the local government pension scheme and have access to benefits such as a discount card off a wide range of outlets.
