We are looking for a new colleague to join our team. You will be an enthusiastic and caring team player with high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour. You will be committed to improving standards and ensuring all learners achieve their very best and have the skills to create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment. Supporting the class teacher to prepare and deliver a wide range of learning activities, you will help create vibrant, safe and fun environments, which encourage natural curiosity and interest.
As a team player with a flexible and resilient approach, we can offer you the support and expertise to develop your own practice, and bring learning to life, enabling all pupils to develop and progress. Activities may include supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate with a wide range of people, including children, their parent/carers and colleagues. You will have a positive attitude, be resilient and hard working with the ability to work on your own initiative while understanding the need to work as part of a cohesive team to secure the best possible learning and teaching for all.
Educated to GCSE C or equivalent and with a high standard of literacy and numeracy, you will have a good working knowledge of the primary national curriculum; ideally having experience of effective teaching to pre-determined plans and have developed skills to motivate and stimulate learning whilst ensuring appropriate pupil behaviour.
The School is part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust. Each academy has a unique identity, but a shared belief of creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued and proud to be part of the Trust. We value and develop our staff, and can provide you with the training you require and wider opportunities for growth. You will be eligible to join the local government pension scheme and have access to benefits such as a discount card off a wide range of outlets.
